||Influence of basicity (CaO/SiO2) on viscosity and phase structure of Chromium-containing High-titanium Blast Furnace Slag

The basicity of slag has seriously effects on the viscosity and phase structure of chromium-containing high-titanium blast furnace Slag. Therefore, in the present work, the viscous flow characteristics of CaO–SiO2–MgO–TiO2–Al2O3–Cr2O3 system slag were investigated both theoretically and experimentally to promote a better understanding of the effect of basicity on the viscous behavior of slag. The effects of different basicity on the viscosity of slag were studied by using the rotating cylinder method. The results show that, with the increase of CaO/SiO2, the viscosity decreased. With the increase of free oxygen ion content in slag, the degree of polymerization of slag decreased. The CaO/SiO2 should not exceed 1.15.
