High-entropy oxides (HEOs) offer a pathway to tailor structural and functional properties via multi-element disorder. Here, we report the successful growth of epitaxial Ba(ZrSnTiHfNb)O₃ thin films on SrTiO₃ (001) substrates using pulsed laser deposition. X-ray diffraction φ-scan and reciprocal space mapping demonstrate four-fold symmetry alignment and confirms the presence of epitaxial film. Despite the ~5% lattice mismatch, coherent and relaxed film growth is achieved, highlighting the potential of high-entropy perovskites for thin-film integration. This platform opens opportunities to systematically explore strain relaxation, oxygen vacancy effects, and defect-related transport behavior as a function of film thickness and processing conditions. Our results lay the foundation for future studies on ionic conductivity, electrochemical switching, and oxide-based device applications in high-entropy systems. |
