Abstract Scope |
Welding, a foundational aspect of manufacturing, still heavily relies on manual skills due to the superior adaptability and cognitive abilities of human operators, despite the prevalence of automation. Thus, the development of a human-robot collaboration (HRC) welding system is essential. This work introduces a new HRC welding system for the complex double electrode gas metal arc welding process (DE-GMAW), enhancing human control by combining motion capture technology, robotic performance, deep learning, and immersive virtual reality (VR) environments. Comprehensive experimental assessments validate the effectiveness of this system, demonstrating its ability to enhance welding control by integrating human skill with robotic accuracy and machine learning techniques. |
