Scope |
Similar to sheet steels, plate and heavy gauge steels continue to evolve at a rapid pace. These improvements come as a result of increased needs of the end users from pipe producers for oil and gas to heavy section steels for wind turbine towers and armor applications. This symposium follows the successful 2nd International Symposium on Recent Developments in Plate Steels last held in 2018. The focus of this symposium will cover a wide range of topics from steel chemistries and casting to hot rolling to accelerated cooling and quenching. Further, papers related to mechanical testing, fracture toughness, and inspection are welcome. |
