||Electrochemical Properties of Li on the Liquid Tin Electrode in LiCl-KCl Eutectic

This work presents the electrochemical behaviors of Li (I) on liquid tin electrode in LiCl-KCl eutectic melt investigated by series of electrochemical techniques. The activity coefficient of Li in liquid tin electrode was determined by coulometric titration. The thermodynamic properties of Li in liquid tin was evaluated by at the temperature range from 723 to 823K. Besides, various Li-Sn intermetallic compounds were detected by open circuit chronopotentiometry. The standard formation Gibbs free energy and the standard equilibrium constant of Li-Sn intermetallic compounds were obtained. The enthalpy and entropy of formation were also caculated from the linear relationship between the Gibbs free energy and temperature.
