Abstract Scope |
Phase and structural transformations during thermal self-ignition of the Ni-Al intermetallic system under conditions of synthesis of complex functionally active charges have been studied. At the first stage, mutual diffusion of the components occurs, which leads to the formation of a eutectic. It was found by X-ray phase analysis that there are β-NiAl peaks on the diffraction patterns of the samples after synthesis (interplanar distances are d = 2.0448, 2.9014, 1.1794 Ć) . According to the results of X-ray phase and micro-X-ray spectral analyzes, it was found that the product of the synthesis of NiAl alloys is single-phase with a β-phase (Al46.5Ni53.5 and Al49.6Ni50.4). During the formation of an intermetallic compound, an internal compressive and external tensile stress arises, while the TiAl3 layer grows, which leads to depletion of the aluminum mass and the subsequent nucleation of titanium monoaluminide (γ-TiAl). |
