Abstract Scope |
The purpose of this work is to investigate the structure formation in intermetalide γ-TiAl alloys by using a complex plastic deformation technology under non-stationary temperature conditions with niobium doping. Also in given work, the using of Hall-Patch model, the interrelation of the nanostructured quantities with strength characteristics is considered. It allows to obtain materials with increased plasticity by an optimal combination of mechanical properties over a wide range of temperatures. It is established that the doping of γ-TiAl alloys with niobium (7...8% by weight) and increasing the degree of plastic deformation under extrusion conditions at a deformation temperature of 1100 оС can significantly reduce the grain size in the final product (up to 10...12 μm) and forms a two-level structure with nano-lamellar colonies with a distance of up to 500 nm. |
