| Scope |
Pyrometallurgical processes use high temperatures to react materials in order to generate value added products. In these processes, gases are generated as a byproduct of the chemical reactions which are occurring or from the combustion of fuels used to provide the heat to the process. These gases are hot, dusty and contain a range of chemical species. In order to discharge these into the environment in a safe and sustainable matter, this gas must be cooled and cleaned. Due to the chemical species and dust, this requires specialist equipment and know-how. This symposium will focus on the equipment used to process pyrometallurgical process off gases. |
