| Scope |
This symposium is open to researchers, museum professionals and conservators working in the fields of art, archeology, art conservation, and heritage science. It will focus on materials characterization of cultural heritage: topics of interest include developments in non-invasive imaging, microanalytical techniques, and computational tools that advance understanding of cultural heritage materials. While the focus of the symposium is on ceramics and glass, contributions addressing other cultural heritage materials are equally welcome.
Researchers in affiliated disciplines developing or applying analytical, imaging, or modeling techniques with potential relevance to the arts are strongly encouraged to participate in order to foster new collaborations across the cultural and materials sciences. The session aims to promote interdisciplinary dialogue among scientists, conservators, curators, and archaeologists, highlighting how collaborative research can inform conservation practices and cultural interpretation. |
