Scope |
Aluminium smelting is a complex and energy-intensive process with multiple input, controls and operations. The process is prone to various serious faults that can lead to severe disruptions that can have enormous impacts on production, product quality, and environmental and occupational safety. In this workshop-style session, a group of invited panelists will present various instances of major disruptions smelters have encountered. The audience will be asked to participate in exploring common causes of these faults, as well as the best practices and technologies to prevent, detect, and mitigate them. |
