Scope |
Additive manufactured metal parts have inherently rough surfaces, which can be up to Ra 1000 uM. Aerospace and medical industry parts require a much smoother finish. Machining the surface of these components is not practicable in many cases due to the complex shapes. This symposium has been organized to share technologies related to surface finishing of AM metal parts. This includes, but is not limited to abrasive tumbling, abrasive blasting, chemical milling, water cavitation abrasive surface finishing and electro-chemical finishing. |
