Symposium Industrial Solutions for Government Challenges – Finding Federal Funding to Turbocharge Your Product Development: Panel + Meet and Greet with Federal Program Managers
Sponsorship TMS: Public and Governmental Affairs Committee
Organizer(s) James Edward Saal, Citrine Informatics
Michael S. Titus, Purdue University
Scope Federal agencies are always on the hunt for innovative solutions to government challenges, many of which involve materials and manufacturing. This provides opportunities for companies large and small to receive funding for developing products and tools addressing these needs. Join us for an interactive 1-hour panel discussion followed by a meet-and-great with federal program managers/directors from the DOE, DOD, NSF, and others! In this panel, program managers will introduce their programs, the larger federal funding landscape in their branch/division, and answer questions relevant towards leveraging RD&D funding to solve critical technology challenges. We will discuss common issues considered by companies receiving government funding, including: What is the general process of engaging with program managers? What kind of IP rights do I retain? What makes a proposal successful, and how can one be successful during post award? How does cost share work? Join us to hear the answers to these questions and more and learn more about the federal funding landscape for your company.
