| Abstract Scope |
QuesTek has developed and deployed a Fatigue Simulation Toolkit as part of the ICMDŽ Software Platform to help materials innovators solve their critical challenges. This toolkit integrates a digital microstructure twin model with CPFEM-based microstructure-sensitive fatigue modeling to predict fatigue indicator parameters as a surrogate for crack initiation. This toolkit also integrates linear elastic fracture mechanics for long crack growth, combining with crack initiation to model full fatigue life of engineering alloys. Advanced constitutive models have been implemented in numerically efficient algorithms to capture key mechanisms of Steel, Titanium, Nickel, and Aluminum alloys. In this talk, we will focus on the software tools and how they have been applied to several industry use cases across biomedical, aerospace, and accelerated qualification for additive manufacturing. Lastly, the future outlook for ongoing development of this toolkit will be discussed covering expansions to surface fatigue phenomena like fretting and corrosion fatigue. |
