Abstract Scope |
High entropy alloys (HEAs) have been drawing much attention as a new class of metallic materials since they exhibit various attractive properties, e.g., pronounced work-hardening at cryogenic temperatures, high fracture toughness and high fatigue resistance.
The present talk introduces the relation between the stacking fault energy and mechanical properties and low-cycle fatigue properties for FCC HEAs and MEAs. Effect of grain size on those properties will be also explained.
Possible applications of the HEAs for medical devices as well as other emerging area will be introduced. |
