| Abstract Scope |
Under the conditions of maintaining production and ensuring quality, adding a high proportion of economic ore is an important measure to reduce sinter mix costs. Experiments were conducted to investigate using dolomite as magnesium flux for sinter quality improvement with high blending ratio of economic ore. Results from mini-sintering tests and sinter pot experiments verify that under identical basicity and magnesium oxide content, the quantity and quality of sintered liquid phase are significantly affected by dolomite particle size. Optimizing the control range of dolomite particle size can improve sinter quality and lead to reduce CO₂ emissions from the sintering process. |
