Abstract Scope |
Professor KazukiMorita has led the physical chemistry research for resource circulation, including the refining and recycling of metals, particularly iron and silicon, and the value addition of by-products such as slag. In particular, he has explored new methods of measuring phase equilibrium and activities of components, and reaction kinetics for various smelting and refining slags to provide guidelines for refining in the steelmaking process, and has developed new ideas for slag recycling. Furthermore, he has developed a novel metallurgical process of solar-grade silicon. In the presentation, former students who were involved in part of his research will present the overviwe of his contributions and success, with sharing their own experiences. |
