Abstract Scope |
Apple is committed to the twin goals of net zero carbon emissions by 2030 and only using recycled or renewable content in its materials. Aluminum, titanium, and stainless steel alloys are a significant contributor to Apple’s environmental impact and have been a key focus area of technology and supply chain innovation. Development roadmaps have targeted the largest opportunities for decreasing CO2e and increasing recycled content in the alloy space. In this talk, technologies related to alloy and process design, electrification, recycling technologies, net shape manufacturing, and end of life recovery will be discussed. |
