| Abstract Scope |
The connection between prebaked anode rods and steel yokes is a critical current transmission node in aluminum electrolysis. Traditional joints adopting Al-steel explosive welding transition blocks and grooved circumferential welding have limited conductive interfaces, high local anode voltage drop, frequent weld cracking and inconsistent manual welding quality. This paper removes explosive welding transition blocks, and uses direct dissimilar Al-steel welding with multi-layer aluminum plate full-interfacial lap joints to enlarge conductive contact and mechanical bearing sections. A full-automatic robotic welding line standardizes positioning, welding and NDT. Industrial tests prove lower joint voltage drop, improved tensile & thermal fatigue strength, shorter processing cycle and stable weld quality, supporting energy-saving and intelligent upgrading of anode conductive manufacturing. |
