| Abstract Scope |
Osteogenesis imperfecta (OI) is a genetic disorder caused by mutations in type I collagen that leads to fragile bones. However, the correlation between genetic mutation and bone fragility at macro-scale is not well understood. This study examined how pathological alterations in microstructure and composition in OI bones impair bone mechanical strength. |
