A kinetics model for the six-phase multicomponent among desulfurizer-alloy -steel-inclusion-slag-refractory material was established to predict the variation of the composition of the steel, the slag and inclusions during reaction. The calculation showed that the content of Al2O3 in inclusions was over 90%. With the addition of rare earth metals in the steel, the content of Al2O3 in inclusions decreased and transformed into Ce2O3 and La2O3, and further transformed into Ce2O2S and La2O2S. After 20 min reaction, inclusions were mainly composed of (Ce,La)2O2S and (Ce,La)xS. The addition of rare earth metals had little effect on the evolution of slag composition during refining process. |
