| Abstract Scope |
The 32-ID beamline at the Advanced Photon Source (APS) has pioneered the use of undulator-based x-ray white beam for ultrafast inline phase-contrast imaging and diffraction, achieving exposure times down to 100 ps and repetition rates up to 6.5 MHz. The recent APS Upgrade has significantly reduced the source emittance, particularly in the horizontal plane, where source size previously limited spatial resolution and contrast. In addition, the energy bandwidth of the single-line emission from the short-period undulator is further reduced, enabling more quantitative scattering measurements and improved contrast in full-field imaging. In this talk, we present recent advances in experimental capabilities at 32-ID and outline future plans for beamline enhancements aimed at expanding performance and scientific reach. |
