| Abstract Scope |
Blast furnace gas is an important carbon-containing by-product gas from integrated steel production. This paper reviews CO₂ capture from blast furnace gas in terms of gas source characteristics, technical routes, alkanolamine-based chemical absorption systems, and engineering practice. Based on the operation of an on-site 100 Nm³/h pilot-scale CO₂ capture plant, the CO₂ removal rate can exceed 90%, and the calorific value of the decarbonized gas increases by approximately 30%. Finally, it is pointed out that further breakthroughs in blast furnace gas CO₂ capture should be achieved in areas such as the development of low-energy blended amine solvents, synergistic impurity control, efficient waste heat utilization, long-term operation evaluation, and coupling integration with the steel production process. |
