The Ti-Zr-Mo alloy exhibits excellent corrosion resistance, biocompatibility and mechanical properties, and has promising application prospects in biomedical materials and corrosion-resistant structural materials. In this study, TiO2、ZrO2 and MoO3 were selected as raw materials, and the Ti-Zr-Mo alloy was prepared by the molten salt electro-deoxidation method in a CaCl2–NaCl molten salt system. The thermodynamic calculation analysis of the reduction process was conducted. The results showed that within the temperature range of 873-1173 K, the O2- reduced at the cathode would react with Ca2+ in the molten salt, generating intermediate products such as CaTiO3,CaZrO3, CaMoO4 and CaZrTi2O7. Under the electric driving force condition, the Mo component was preferentially reduced (MoO3/CaMoO4→MoO2→Mo), followed by the stepwise reduction of the Ti component (TiO2/CaTiO3→Ti3O5→Ti2O3→TiO→Ti), and finally the reduction of the Zr component (ZrO2/CaZrO3/CaZrTi2O7→CaZrO3→Zr). The finally reduced Ti, Zr and Mo components diffused and alloyed at the cathode product to form the Ti-Zr-Mo alloy. |
