Abstract Scope Biomass has emerged as a important source of precursor for materials development. Some examples of biomass are corn, soybean meal, flax etc. The biomass is enriched with constituents like cellulose, lignin and hemicellulose. In this presentation, I will present recent development in my research group for design and development of novel materials from biomass. Detailed microstructure and mechanical characterization of the composites will be presented.
