Abstract Scope After starting up not one but four startups and working at five others, the author will help you learn what it takes to be an entrepreneur. Her current company has been bootstrapped through numerous strategies, It has grown to a team of over 20 and includes building a new foundry and inventing numerous new technologies. In addition, along the way she has gone back to finish up a PhD in Manufacturing Engineering which is nearly complete. This talk will give a brief overview of how to get started in entrepreneurship, key lessons learned, resources to help you, and things to consider if you want to raise money or funding opportunities if you choose or have to bootstrap.
