Abstract Scope |
In this study, a BCC-based multi-principal element superalloy system was designed to promote the co-precipitation of L2₁ and B2 phases for enhanced mechanical performance via dual-phase strengthening. The alloy composition was optimized within the compositional space of BCC-strengthened phases. Phase size, distribution, and volume fractions were systematically tailored using CALPHAD calculations to achieve a balance between strength and ductility while suppressing the formation of brittle intermetallics. Elemental contents were systematically varied to investigate their effects on microstructure and mechanical behavior. |
