Abstract Scope |
The direct conversion of methane to hydrogen and carbon materials through pyrolysis is a green and zero-emission technology with prospect for large-scale applications. Molten catalysts, including molten metal alloys and molten salts, have shown advantages in terms of cost, activity, and stability. However, due to the high-temperature conditions and the inherent complexity of the molten catalysts, the design and optimization of molten catalyst systems face challenges. In this presentation, the recent progress in exploring the design rules and the synergistic catalytic mechanisms will be discussed. In addition, novel routes leveraging both thermal and electrochemical forces for methane conversion will also be presented. |
