Abstract Scope |
Porosity critically impacts the Mechanical performance of ceramics produced by Binder Jetting Printing. The study investigates the mechanical properties of ceramic components fabricated through Binder Jetting, samples printed into simple prismatic geometries will be printed and analyzed to identify patterns in porosity distribution through Microscopy Analysis, a critical factor that affects mechanical strength. To evaluate structural integrity a three-point bending test will be conducted on each sample. The objective is to determine the most suitable geometry that optimizes mechanical performance by minimizing the detrimental effects of porosity. The findings aim to provide insights into the design and manufacturing of high strength ceramic parts using binder jetting technology. |
