| Abstract Scope |
Sinter is the primary raw material for blast furnace ironmaking, and the sintering process is also a major energy consumer and pollutant emitter in iron production. With the implementation of ultra-low emission standards in Chinese steel enterprises, the issue of CO emissions from sintering has become a key focus for environmental mitigation. This paper presents an integrated CO recycling and utilization technology for sintering flue gas. Through the development and application of technologies such as flue gas recirculation, steam injection onto the sintering bed surface, and CO catalytic oxidation, a 38.66% reduction in CO emissions from sintering flue gas was achieved. Additionally, the consumption of blast furnace gas in the desulfurization and denitrization systems was reduced by 66.63%. These advancements have enabled large and medium-sized sintering machines to achieve ultra-low CO emissions below 2800 mg/m³ in discharged flue gas. |
