Abstract Scope |
Social contribution drives research and development, with researchers often working selflessly without expecting rewards. However, career choices are influenced by personal aspirations, family circumstances, abilities, financial risks, organizational expectations, and luck, making mid-to-late career transitions challenging. Resonac addresses this through a co-creation approach, integrating business and human resource strategies. Its career autonomy support program promotes the value of career ownership, enabling researchers to define their paths through internal recruitment. As a "human resource development company," Resonac nurtures individuals who take pride in their experiences, even if they leave the organization. Researchers advance by focusing on controllable factors, refining diverse skills, and cultivating positivity, which fosters fulfillment, informed leadership, and improved project management. These efforts lead to greater satisfaction and expanded career opportunities. As Director of Resonac's Research Center for Computational Science and Informatics, I aim to share insights from Japan on achieving work-life choices while sustaining a passion for research. |
