Abstract Scope MAX and MAB phases have attracted a lot of attention due to their unique properties like damage tolerance, oxidation resistance, electrical/thermal conductivity, hardness and other attributes. In this invited presentation, I will present some of the recent developments from my research group on greening of manufacturing of these phases. Detailed microstructural characterization and phase analysis will be presented as a part of this presentation.
