Abstract Scope |
In the field of materials processing, and in particular powder metallurgy, non-conventional sintering processes—such as Spark Plasma Sintering (SPS) and Cold Sintering Process (CSP)—have demonstrated their ability to address major challenges in the development of functional ceramics with optimized microstructures and tailored properties.
In this presentation, we will illustrate how the combination of chemistry (e.g., defect engineering, precursor reactivity) and these processes can drive new sintering mechanisms, enabling the densification of refractory materials at temperatures below 900 °C. |
