| Abstract Scope |
Chanderiya Lead Zinc Smelter’s Pyro circuit consists of Sinter followed by ISF (Imperial Smelting Furnace) into the Refinery Section with lead refining as well as zinc refining section.Low carbon and High grade of lead concentrate preferred. The agglomeration process of Lead concentrate with maintained operational parameters of Silica, lime and iron to form a glassy silicate (Sinter Coarse lead)The ISF having tuyeres operating with blast 20-24K in lead mode and 30-35k in zinc mode with the consumption of metallurgical coke , maintaining the furnace temperature at different zones as it directly impacts the slag phase composition with required 1-4% Pb, 19-25% silica , 12-20% lime .Major initiatives like oxygen enrichment from 250 Nm3/hr. to 700 Nm3/hr., minimizing moisture content in met. Coke, less formation of fines and dross, improving mechanical strength, porosity and grade of sinter improved the ISF bullion production even reached 416 MT on a single day. |
