Abstract Scope |
Refractory high-entropy alloys (RHEAs) is a class of materials which has been shown to possess excellent strength at high temperatures. However, other key properties such as their low-temperature ductility and high-temperature oxidation resistance need further improvement. We have recently developed improved models for yield strength, compressive ductility, and oxidation mass gain to guide improvement of RHEAs and aid in materials discovery. In this work, we will describe recent advancements in promoting oxidation resistance of RHEAs, including the development of machine learning-based models and experimental synthesis of oxidation-resistant RHEAs. |
