| Abstract Scope |
Two-surface modeling was historically developed for fatigue loading to memorize the prior maximum plastic strain range. Chaboche, Ohno, and McDowell are amongst those who pioneered the two-surface modeling under the umbrella of bounding-surface theory. In parallel, a vast amount of work has been performed to better predict creep-fatigue interactions and complex modeling approaches have been proposed. Since fatigue and creep do not have the same deformation mechanisms, what is hereby proposed is to formulate a two-surface model with each of the surfaces responsible for a loading type and coupled via hardening variables. |
