Abstract Scope |
This work explores the application of additive manufacturing in the production of sports eyewear using TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane), a material known for its flexibility and resilience. 3D printing, such as FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling), enables the creation of complex and customized geometries, ideal for eyewear designs that adapt to athletes' needs. The study focused on characterizing TPU to ensure the functionality and durability of the eyewear under various conditions of use. High-temperature dimensional stability tests were conducted, crucial to ensure the material maintains its shape and fit even when exposed to heat. Furthermore, sweat resistance was evaluated, aiming for product durability in contact with perspiration, an important factor for sports eyewear. The obtained results contribute to the advancement of additive manufacturing in the field of sports equipment, offering innovative and high-performance solutions. |
