| Abstract Scope |
Metal additive manufacturing has attracted significant interest from researchers because of its design freedom and reduced material waste compared to other manufacturing techniques.
This work presents the effect of milling time and alloy composition on the powder dynamics of the Co-Zr alloy system. The study of powder dynamics is an important step in Laser Powder Bed Fusion if the alloys are not prepared by gas atomization, as the spherical powder particles show better flowability, which is desired for LPBF. The powder particle morphology and the flowability was studied for the ball milled melt-spun ribbons of Zr-Co. |
