| Abstract Scope |
Scale formation in precipitation tanks presents significant challenges in alumina refineries and negatively impacts the refineries’ production. Effective scale control is crucial to achieving production targets and ensuring operation stability. This paper presents the development of innovative surface coating agents and a unique performance evaluation methodology. Significant reduction in scale formation was observed in a 32-week testing period in real precipitation tanks. The paper also proposes a mechanism of the scale inhibition by the coating method. |
