| Abstract Scope |
The work presents TiAl alloy with high specific strength, elasticity, heat resistance and oxidation resistance. These properties are due to the highly directional covalent component in the interatomic bond and the ordered atomic structure. The obtained TiAl alloy is superior to ceramic materials due to its plasticity and fracture toughness. To impart final properties to the TiAl alloy product, it was subjected to plastic deformation in the high-temperature phase region to obtain a lamellar structure. A mathematical model aimed at obtaining γ-TiAl alloys with a specified structure and properties is implemented, based on the use of data on the features of physical modeling of the FA pressing process. High-temperature synthesis of the γ-TiAl intermetallic compound in a powder mixture of pure elements made it possible to obtain an intermetallic alloy with an average grain size of ~ 30 μm. |
