Abstract Scope |
Using conventional wear tests, as well as in-situ nano-mechanical wear tests, we explore the abrasive wear processes in Cu-based and Al-based alloys. Results reveal a wide range of interesting phenomena, including, but not limited to, strain path effects, vacuum effects, crystallographic texture effects, boundary effects, and beyond. This talk will provide an overview of these insights, to help guide alloy and microstructure design activities in the future. |
