| Abstract Scope |
Increasing amperage has long been a strategic objective across aluminium smelters worldwide. While it enables higher production output, it also introduces significant challenges—particularly in managing emissions and meeting regulatory obligations. Maaden is no exception. This paper highlights Maaden’s transformation into an integrated alumina refinery and aluminum smelter complex and chronicles its decade-long journey toward achieving a 50% reduction in HF emissions from Gas Treatment Centers (GTCs) |
