| Abstract Scope |
A micromechanically inspired shape memory alloy material constitutive model with coupled phase transformation-plasticity is built on physically meaningful state variables such as phase volume fraction and strain. Further, the model is generalized to full anisotropy for elasticity as well as all inelastic mechanisms including martensite evolution and hardening. The fully parameterized model can contain between 39 and 277 material parameters which allows for fine control over material texture. This presentation will discuss a methodology for using in-situ diffraction data to validate the evolution of the phase fraction internal variable concurrent with macroscopic internal variables and investigate model fidelity on texture when reducing the parameter space by changing material symmetry assumptions. |
