Abstract Scope |
In this paper, the reaction behavior and leaching kinetics of sulfur in roasted desulfurized concentrate during alumina production were systematically investigated. The primary chemical composition and phase composition of the roasted concentrate were determined by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and chemical analysis. The effects of lime dosage, digestion temperature, digestion time, and molar ratio of digestion liquor on bauxite digestion performance and sulfur removal efficiency were thoroughly examined. The test results show that the digestion rate of sulfur significantly increases with the increase of lime addition amount and the extension of digestion time, while the digestion temperature has a relatively small effect on the digestion rate of sulfur within the test range. This research provides a theoretical basis and technical support for optimizing the process parameters of producing alumina from roasted desulfurized concentrate, and has guiding significance for achieving efficient sulfur removal and resource utilization. |
