| Abstract Scope |
An investigation was carried out on the initial crystallization temperature of the AlCl3-NaCl-LiCl molten salt system at a NaCl:LiCl mass ratio of 2:1, with AlCl3 mass percentages ranging from 1% to 9%. The density, surface tension, and electrical conductivity of the system were then studied over the temperature range of 660–700 °C. The results show that the primary crystallization temperature of the system lies between 640 and 660 °C, the density ranges from 1.525 to 1.550 g/cm³, the surface tension from 70 to 120 mN/m, and the electrical conductivity from 2.6 to 3.8 S/cm. The initial crystallization temperature decreases linearly with increasing AlCl3 content. Density and surface tension decrease with rising temperature and increasing AlCl3 content, whereas electrical conductivity increases with temperature but decreases with AlCl3 content. Both density and surface tension exhibit strong linear relationships with temperature and AlCl3 content. |
