| Abstract Scope |
This study details the development of a high-throughput database (BDD_LVC) designed to characterize the mechanical behavior of beam-to-column connections in steel planar frames. The database is populated using the Calc_LSR_MC program, a computational tool based on the Component Method of Eurocode 3. This algorithm facilitates the automated determination of rotational stiffness and resistance moments for a wide range of connections using commercially available structural components. By addressing the modeling of extended end plates and fastening elements, the methodology provides a structured solution for managing large datasets of structural responses. This approach enhances data accessibility and eliminates the need for redundant manual calculations in structural modeling. The resulting database serves as a foundational resource for materials science and engineering, promoting best practices for data management and the analysis of semi-rigid structural behavior |
