| Abstract Scope |
The effect of electrolyte temperature on the process of producing magnetite nanocrystals by the electrolytic method, using iron electrodes and a sodium chloride solution as the electrolyte, was investigated. X-ray diffraction studies were conducted to determine the composition of the obtained samples, the sizes of the nanocrystals, and the crystal lattice parameters. The sizes of the nanocrystals were determined using the Debye–Scherrer formula, the Williamson–Hall method, and the size-deformation method. It was shown that when the electrolyte temperature is varied from room temperature to 100 °C, magnetite nanocrystals are obtained with only a slight change in their size. Basic microbiological studies of magnetite and compositions containing it were also carried out. |
