Abstract Scope |
Hartrurite (alite) is one of the most important components of the Portland clinker. The Ca3SiO5 evaporation was studied by the Knudsen effusion mass spectrometry at 1750-2300 K. The partial pressures of the vapor species (Ca, CaO, SiO, SiO2, Si2O2, CaSiO3, O, O2) over Ca3SiO5 have been determined for the first time. The obtained oxide activities made it possible to determine the mixing energy in hartrurite, as well as the enthalpy and entropy of its formation. The presented high-temperature thermodynamic data are consistent with the available experimental information. |
