| Abstract Scope |
Barium titanate (BaTiO₃) is one of the most important ferroelectric materials due to its excellent dielectric, piezoelectric, and ferroelectric properties. These properties depend heavily on processing conditions, particularly sintering, as this process determines densification, grain growth, and microstructural evolution. This research analyzes the sintering kinetics and microstructural evolution of BaTiO₃ obtained by solid-state reaction synthesis. The synthesis will be carried out using the precursors BaCO₃ and TiO₂, and the material will be sintered at 1100 and 1200 °C to evaluate the influence of these parameters on densification and microstructural development. The results obtained will be analyzed by X-ray diffraction for the identification of crystalline phases, scanning electron microscopy with SEM- EDS for morphological analysis, and Raman spectroscopy. The results will allow the relationship between sintering conditions, microstructural evolution and the structural properties of BaTiO₃ to be established. |
