| Abstract Scope |
Multiple Principal element Alloys (MPEA) have garnered attention for their potential use in advanced nuclear reactors with extreme environments. Their compositional space is extremely varied by nature. They are a perfect example of developmental materials needing a systematic and efficient screening through accelerated testing to weed out the viable systems from the less plausible. In this talk we will show a possible path for accelerated experimental screening of the radiation tolerance of MPEAs using two series of alloys (a refractory MbNbTi based one and a FeCrNi based one) processed through SPS and tested under in situ ion irradiation (before and after heat treatment) at low and high temperatures. |
