| Abstract Scope |
A method for obtaining the solution of Fick's 2nd law when the intrinsic diffusivity is a function of concentration has been proposed by the power series method. In the previous study, the curve of diffusivity against concentration was obtained when it was upwardly convex, but we extended it to the case when it was downwardly convex. In addition, we quantitatively predicted how chemical diffusivity depends on concentration in an A-B binary system when the diffusivity dependence of A differs from the diffusivity dependence of B. This improved our understanding of the nature of diffusion equation solutions in multicomponent systems. |
